Why play on an MBA Scout Team?

  • OUR MISSION Since 1984 MountainWest Baseball has provided players with the resources that are required for success at their “NEXT LEVEL” of competition. More than 5000 former participants have played college baseball, more than 500 former players have been drafted by Major League organizations and more than 50 played for team USA.
  • INSTRUCTION: By-far the most important thing to consider when selecting a scout team is which organization will make you a better player. All MountainWest Baseball coaches have extensive college and professional baseball experience. Our professional instructors utilize curriculum, drills, and equipment designed specifically to communicate this information effectively inside one of the top baseball training facility in the country.
  • INFORMATION – MBA is powered by Bio-Kinetics Research & Development. BIO-KINETICS has been performing motion analysis for Major League Baseball for more than three decades and is the only motion analysis company of its kind with a bio mechanical database taken from live Major League competition. Bio Kinetics was recently chosen by The American Baseball Coaches Association to conduct a ten year bio-mechanical study of the best hitters and pitchers in the game of baseball.
  • EXPOSURE: If you’re not playing in the Nation’s top identification events, you’re missing out on opportunities! MountainWest Baseball is one of only organization with invitations each year to participate in USA Baseball, Classic Baseball, Perfect Game and Championships baseball events. More than 1000 college recruiters and professional scouts attend these events annually.
  • Coaches Network: Through our work with the American Baseball Coaches Association as well as our three decades of experience in the college placement business. MountainWest Baseball has the experience and knowledge to guide your family through the recruiting process and find the college or University that’s the right fit for you.
  • Pro Video Scout: The use of video continues to grow in popularity throughout the game of baseball, playing an increasingly important role for the family and the college recruiter. College programs with limited recruiting budgets are increasingly relying on video to identify players. Video allows the college recruiter the ability to evaluate the player even when they do not have the opportunity to see them during live competition. One of the first things a college recruiter will ask a new recruit is for his video. Being prepared with video before a recruiter requests it will impress them and show you’re serious and educated about the recruiting process. College programs are now subscribing to video companies to receive video on all the top players. PVS will make your professional personal profile video at no extra charge for program participants. If the player would like to place the video on http://provideoscout.com/ the fee will be $10.00 per month to cover their expenses.
