The MountainWest Championships serves as an Identification event for:

- Prospect Games
- USA Baseball Events
- Sophomore, Junior and Senior showcase
- Perfect Game Events
- Northwest Championships
More than 600 college recruiters and professional scout attend theses events annually.
New this year: the winner of the MountainWest Championships will earn a bid to attend The Desert Fall Classic in Las Vegas Nevada. This is one of the top tournaments in the country hosting 265 teams annually.
