2011 FALL INSTRUCTIONAL LEAGUE SIGN UP

2011 will officially mark the 34rd year of the Fall Instructional League.  This is perhaps the most important part of the baseball season for those who want to continue playing after High School.  Since 1976 more than 300 former Fall Instructional League participants have been drafted by Major League Ball Clubs, and over a two thousand have gone on to play in college.

The Instructional League provides players from ages 14 to 18 the opportunity to play beyond the summer season with some of the best instruction available.  We will offer a Junior Varsity division (grades 8th – 10th) and a Varsity division (11th and 12th).  Each player will have the option to use either a wood or metal bat, but we encourage wood bat use.

The league will begin the week of Sept 7th with most of the games being played on Saturdays.  There may be limited week night games, but play will be predominately on Saturdays.

The cost for the league is a $165.00 per player or $1,500.00 for a full team of 12 players.  Late registration fee is $195.00.  Roster must be handed in with League fee.

Benefits include:

Season games

Practices at the Academy

Post season clinic at the Academy TBA

Each team will play 3 Instructional League type games and then a season-ending pool play tournament with an umpire.

New for 2011:  The Instructional League Champions in both the 16 & 18U will earn a spot in the Deseret Fall Classic.  One of the Nations top high school tournaments with over 265 teams participating.
